In 1699, the 10th Guru - Guru Gobind Singh Ji - created the Khalsa. He gave the Sikhs a unique identity which includes 5 articles of faith:
Sikhism was founded in the 15th century by Guru Nanak Dev Ji in Punjab, India. He taught that there is one God and that all people are equal, regardless of caste, religion, or gender. His message focused on love, truth, and selfless service.
The faith was led by ten Sikh Gurus, who guided and strengthened the community. The last human Guru, Guru Gobind Singh Ji, established the Khalsa in 1699, a community of committed Sikhs dedicated to equality and justice. He also declared the Guru Granth Sahib, the Sikh holy scripture, as the eternal Guru, containing the teachings of the Gurus and other spiritual leaders.
Sikhism has always stood for justice, service, and devotion to God, shaping its community through resilience and faith.
